On October 10, 2024, 9-year-old Rayzel Esquivel, affectionately known as "Pocketz" by his teammates, was outside his home playing on his scooter when a car came rushing through the neighborhood and struck him. He was rushed to the hospital with a broken femur and multiple skull fractures. After multiple surgeries, including the insertion of five screws and a metal plate, he is now on a long road to recovery. 

Despite this horrific event, Pocketz remains in good spirits, laughing and enjoying time with his family as any young boy would. An active child with a passion for football, Pocketz plays for the 3rd and 4th grade Irish team with the Thornton Junior Football League. As a skilled running back and outside linebacker, he can't wait to get back on the field with his friends and teammates. 

 This incident may have temporarily broken his body, but it will not break his passion and drive. Your donations will ensure that all future treatments are paid for, allowing him to get back outside and enjoy the life every child deserves.
